Mary’s Meadow CohousingA cohousing development in Estes Park, ColoradoMary’s Meadow is a cohousing project in Estes Park, Colorado. The project is approved for about 35 homes and a common building located on approximately 5 acres of land within a 25 acre parcel owned by the developer. The land itself may best be described as a meadow filled with native grasses, sloping gently from the west to the east boundary. The architectural style of the units, in large part, will be defined by the context of adjacent properties, a recently renovated historic hotel property to the west, as well as high end single family subdivisions on the south and to the north. The style of the proposed units might be described as Colorado mountain, or a contemporary interpretation of mountain rustic. Consistent with the philosophy that cohousing communities should represent diversity across many dimensions, including economic, units are planned to range in size from approximately 900 to 3,000 square feet. |
